AA Translations uses IBM LotusLive for online
collaboration
AA Translations is a pan European provider of translation
services, with 7,000 registered customers and more than 700
translators worldwide.
"We can have 50 projects on the go at any one time and each
project could involve as many as 20 different people, so you can
see why an effective collaboration tool is important to us".
Jeremy Clutton, MD
AA Translations uses IBM LotusLive to share documents, host
online meetings and provide web-based e-mail to staff who are not
office based.
"In a typical scenario, we would set up an online meeting and
invite in, the translator, proof reader and client representative.
We can then share documents through the browser and review the
translated content."
"Previously we were using lots of individual pieces of software.
LotusLive enables us to have all the tools we need, online
meetings, document sharing and e-mail, available through the same
"Dashboard". This reduces the cost, improves productivity and makes
life simpler. For example, by moving to web based e-mail, we have
saved the cost of having a dedicated server and the IT
infrastructure to support it. What's more, we can share all the
benefits of online collaboration with our clients by inviting them
in as guests".
